The only way you profit from higher yield is if you make higher yields, but others don't. If all of a sudden every corn farmer in America were producing 300 bushel an acre corn, what's going to happen to corn prices that year? They're going to absolutely tank, because now we have way overproduced. And so all of this push for yield, yield, yield actually makes very little economic sense," he says.
