Personalized Acid Free Cardboard Cases

The vatican secret archives have a special process to deacidify theo the conservation, restoration and binding. To date, about 52 thousand customized acid free cardboard cases have been produced. After treatment, the documents are placed on special frames to dry. Restorers apply thin sheets of vegetable fibre that still allow the text to be read. For really fragile documents, they put pages between transparent sheets made of vegetable fibre.
