CHAPTER

The Importance of Japan's Land Use Policies

Japan is very strict environmental laws in some ways stricter than America. If you want to build something, a bureaucrat will check whether you fit the environmental laws and we'll do this in a weekend and we'll say okay you're good to go going. In America, the way you determine if people follow the environmental laws are by suing them in court claiming that they have not filled out the NEPA or SIKA procedural review. So that is a shitty system. Japan is the good system which is they have bureaucrats check it.
