Florence and the Ripper Murders

Florence Maybrick was convicted of murdering Jack the Ripper in 1896. She spent 14 years behind bars before being released on good behavior. After her release, she lectured about prison reform and became known as a prison reformer. Her family were never able to find out who she really was or where she came from. In 1920s someone found an old dry cleaning tag with Florence's name on it that said 'Maybrick' On July 25th, 1904 they took her children away for life.
