The Importance of Mid Range Shooting in Basketball

The three point shot for LeBron right now has abandoned him. Why hasn't he not at all given the mid range pull up a chance again? We have seen players find success with drop against drop coverage still taking that mid range of he's shooting threes as poorly as he has this postseason. And honestly, like they just they went through too long of a stretch and give credit to Denver's defense also where they just couldn't get a bucket.
