When he first went to New York, there was no alt comedy. I would have to go up to New England to work for a living and do one-nighters. And then when we moved to Luna Lounge somewhere in the mid 90s, it evolved into something oddly different. There were some non stand ups that started to create this environment which is now considered basically punk rock of comedy.
