Habits define almost half of all our actions, so as a marketer it's extremely important to consider them before starting your next campaign. The true scale of our habitual behavior was first quantified by two psychologists who gave 279 students watches which were programmed to buzz at set times. Forty five % of the behaviors they recorded were habitual. These are decisions being made without conscious thought, simply followed due to our habits.
