The Mythology of the Greeks and Romans
Higgins compares the mythology to sort of the way comic book movies work today, where there's a reboot and they retell the origin story. But back 200-ish years ago, maybe there was a little bit less floating around in the ethers in terms of information on these subjects. People had a more direct line to just check out what the actual ancient writers themselves said because they would have been educated in Greek and Latin and Hebrew as a classical education in the past incorporated.
