How to Fight Fire With Fire
With a larger wildfire problem comes the need for more sophisticated tactics to get them under control. The first aspect of fire fighting is what our final expert witness describes as the fire triangle. When water to extinguish the fire is in short supply then the next approach is to deprive the flames of anything to burn. A building fire behaves in a certain way it's confined by the walls. You've got control over its direction. Water's quite an effective media there but when you've got open habitats around the world where you've got an expanse of fuel that just continues for mile after mile after mile.
