How to Be a Successful Storyboard Artist

In the Bigger Animation Studios, they use the storyboard artist almost as writers. You do a sequence based on what the writer said or the director has indicated. And then you collaboratively improve on what's there. There are times too where you kind of, you get free rain. Basically, people will sketch on a little napkin and say, here's what I'm thinking about. And then it's up to you, basically to draw the scene.
