In the uk you can have pre-implantation selection of your embryo. It's a pretty tough process to go through for a couple and in particular for the woman. The only people who could not be help by this technology are those with genetic disease or if they both have one that will make them ill so huntington's career which is a horrible neurodegenerative disease. If couples want their own child then don't use this very dangerous technology because it is incredibly dangerous something that should be applied but adopt a child there are plenty of children who are healthy and who need adoption.
