The Importance of Context Building in New York

When in a new city and you don't know anyone and everyone you meet is like a complete stranger pretty much until they're your friend. You might not know whether this person is a good fit or not or can relate to you on certain things unless you talk to them about it. Sometimes people are just hanging out buddies, but I think that for me personally would kind of be like a blocker to emotional intimacy at least for a while.
