Do You Know What Plasticity Is?

The idea is that the neurons which would have been used to do that are now maybe doing something else. People who study plasticity are worried quite a bit about that. One of the very clear demonstrations of plasticity on a low level is where, for example, if you were to, say, remove a digit, and your sematicensory cortex will tend to start responding to touch of another digit. The surrounding areas will kind of take over that tissue.
