Pythagoras and the Philosophy of Mathematics

Pythagoras founded a religion called pythagoreanism. He believed that mathematics was like the language of god, and he would meet with his followers in person to explain how they should play their musical notes. The rules were very irrational: if you ate faver beans or breathed in too much life, you're expelling it. Pythagoras also drowned one of his followers for speaking about an irrational number.
