Are You Putting in Extra Hours?

When you start a new job, have the expectation that you're going to need to work more hours than a typical work week. Be willing to volunteer for things, even if they look scary. Do things that'll stretch you and just see what comes out of it. And i don't think you have to be as productive when you first start your job as when you're at your peak performance.
