How to Build a Successful Open Source Project

A successful project is just going to be super friendly to the community. Say, hey, this is basically a prototype. We did our best effort of creating something that is hopefully usable but consider that version and probably the next five releases as being your fine tuning. The honest feedback in a positive way should really focus on you rather than an ego boost. Nobody shouldn't care about that negative feedback. That's just my thing.
