Is There a Virgin Plastics Tax?
There is a group, maybe even a gaggle of Democrats in Congress who want to implement a virgin plastics tax. A 9% of plastic waste is recycled in the United States. Almost every time we use plastic from here on out, we're going to get taxed. The Virgin Plastic Tax may end up doing exactly what happened with the ethanol thing. It actually ends up being worse for the environment.
