Jolly West, a Psychiatrist and CIA Asset

John West was the head of psychiatric services at Lackland Air Force Base for much of the 1950s. He wound up being one of the shrinks who worked with POWs captured in Korea. Letters between West and Gottlieb, which we acquired after West's death, show they started working together in 1953. In 1956, West reported to Gottlieb that his experiments had come to fruition.
