Aren't We Still Needing More Gas Stations?
There's a phenomenon that is happening, i'm sure it's happening in san francisco, of the disappearing gas station. The big oil companies realized that the gas station was worth more as real estate than as a gas station. And so at least in manhattan and in parts of brooklyn, gas stations are, they're disappearing. We still actually need them, because people do still have to fill up their cars. This comes back to where i began, with a sort of the necessity of thinking regionally or in the metropolitan way.
