What Is Data Retention in G a Yet?
Data retention is a setting, as you rightly said. It's in g a four, and it's in universal analytics. And it's to control how long user and event level data is storag in the google analytic service. But because storage of very granular level data can be expensive, they don't do it. Google are not doing this aut the kindness of their heart. T have got an angle, like we probaly mentioned a hundred times on so dar at. The angle is about advertising and monotising you in different ways - even if it's not vi g a directly.
