Areto wrote a philosophical treatise on his visit to the one beyond being. In it, he tells us that the union he experienced with that entity was not a union and that the entity was not an entity. These paradoxical statements are typical of a genre of writing known as apophatic mysticism or mystical writing. But this entire written corpus remains at the level of mysticism too. We can't access the original experience. We can only hear a description of it. And indeed Rupert is the first to insist on this.
