The Problem With Genetics

Genetics is immensely complex. Heritability depends on the environment exactly as much as it depends on the genes and you can change it by changing either of them. It's a bit simplistic to say that genetics is not deterministic because under some circumstances it clearly is. If you're a boy and you inherit the gene for muscular dystrophy which is a most distressing disease you will get muscular Dystrophy almost certainly. In general nature and nurture always work together.
