The Importance of Prospective Randomized Trials

Jack West: This work is quite compelling in showing that the patients who were able to receive and did receive adjuvant therapy did better than the patients who did not. So how do you feel that these data can and should be used? Is this enough to guide practice now or do we need to do a prospective trial? Dr. Del Quiero: I would just say that it's always nice to have prospective randomized data to definitively tell us what to do but there are settings where that is just not very feasible.
