Exposure Doesn't Work for Anxiety

Most people think, oh, exposure won't help me because every time I go in an elevator, I run out. That's actually called avoidance and that will intensify the anxiety rather than have a healing effect. When you do exposure, the goal is to intentionally make yourself anxious or confront your fear with the support of your therapist.
