Sin is simultaneously the most controversial idea in christianity, and it's the one that's most universally agreed upon. The difference between philosophies and religions and thinkers throughout history is the vocabulary used to describe that issue. There are eight hebrew words, in fact, for the one english word sin. So i want to give you the story of sin, because i think the broad biblical finition is best understood as a story. On the bible's opening page, man and woman are described as naked and unashamed.
