Occidental's Decision to Not Own an Oil Company
Berkshire Hathaway won't be making an offer for Occidental, Buffett said. The company has warrants on a very substantial amount of stock at around $59 a share. I think it's possible that they've decided they will not outright own an oil company. They have some politically sensitive things like energy and the railroad.
