The Crusaders and the Women of the Elite
Most of the way we have are women of the elite but there are a number of other people to pork crusades for whom we have names. There's Domethia of Montau who was the daughter of a Dutch engineer invited by the Teutonic Order to help drain their land while they were setting up new colonies in Prussia. After her death the order pressed for her canonization because she had been such a great supporter to them and said God has made a new type of nightward to support the crusade. This sort of thing is very valuable for crusaders as it tells people that they should support the order, not just physical battle.
