What Happened on March 1st?
When the legislative by convened on march first, what they read from the austrians was not a letter of contrition, but rather a bellicose declaration promising to end the upstart revolutionaries if they didn't stand down. The outraged legislative assembly voted immediately to impeach lisar. After these revelations, a war minister narbon publicly laid into his fouilon colleagues which was not really something youare supposed to do if you are a royal minister. So instead of sacking his beleaguered foreign minister, louis instead sacked his loud mouthed war minister. There was now open talk of impeaching the queen and suspending the king.
