The Germans, the Germans and the Allied Forces.
The three prisoners absealed onto the fourth-floor balcony of a neighbouring apartment building. They smashed the glass and went inside. The Germans ran straight past them as they made their way downstairs to street level. During raids, the Germans checked every cell to make sure the prisoners weren't somehow signaling to the Allied pilots. That night, they found three empty cells. We tried to make ourselves small, and they didn't find us. You were desperate.
