The Power of the Aston Martin Brand
In 1922, Aston Martin produced cars to compete in the French Grand Prix and set world speed and endurance records at racing circuits. The company went bankrupt in 1924 but was rescued by investors who made 700 vehicles before being interrupted yet again by World War II. Several vintage Aston Martin's have sold for over $20 million each. Sean Connery owned a 1964 Aston Martin DB5; his estate later sold it for $2.4 million.
