The Bus Lanes on Washington Street

Construction on Washington Street started in 2001 and finished in 2002. The concept was to run buses in dedicated lanes from Nubian Square, which was then Dudley Square to Boston South station. "It went very, very quickly because it delivered almost nothing," he says. Now the silver line has more ridership than the former bus line.
