With MDMA, the brain is put in a very plastic state similar to those critical learning periods that we have in adolescence. And so one of the things with MDMA where you get these high levels of oxytocin during the experience is you really are putting the brain in a very Plastic State. There is a specific feeling called oceanic boundlessness, which is the sense that you are just like a drop in a notion and you go on forever. But certainly when you're altered and you have the sense that there's something bigger that is holding you it puts you into this, the state of awe.
