The Risk of Infections After Short Steroid Courses

There have been several cases of avian that were noted after just three months. The earliest recognition was only after maybe a little more than a month of 60 milligrams per day of oral methyl prednisolone. A single dose pack with those steroid bursts is typically 24 milligrams a day and contains about 84 milligrams total over the course of six days. It's not really enough to cause avian, but it does make me wonder at how much these dose packs could add up for patients.
