Is America the Primary Reason That Europe Has Higher Inflation?
The Democrats are trying to claim that inflation is lower in the US than it is in Europe because of their policies. But ironically, the main reason that interest rates were so low in Europe was because they were zero in the United States. We don't have lower inflation because we're doing things right and the Europeans are doing things wrong. It's purely a function of the dollar's reserve currency status and safe haven buying that is keeping our inflation low. Since we're doing wrong too, eventually that's going to come back to bite us.
