So a plan was being put together to rescue hungarianjews by the newly created war refugee board or w r b. A man tasked with the job was iva c olson, who worked in the us Treasury department and also secretly employed as a chief of currency operations for the office of strategic services. He needed to find some one to go to bordepest and organize a rescue programme. And he established a committee to find a person capable of the task.
