The Importance of Jokes in Comedy

If you're going to go longer than like four seconds, a funny premise isn't enough. You need actual jokes on top of the premise. A lot of my work is starting to verge into comedy writing here and there these days. There's like whole comedy movies that have a funny premise and yet no actual jokes because the writers thought the premise was enough.
