The Importance of Condescending Relationships
When I was interning as a chaplain and I would visit the sick and dying, I spent some time with old folks who had dementia. And I would say depending on your view of dementia, there's a lot of misperception there. So what do you think like, obviously maybe for an old woman, the stakes are low, but is it condescending to treat people more in accordance with this desire to connect? Do you think we should be concerned with the truth because as you were implying before misbehavior follows from this perception?
