I Love Sonya by Elif Shavak
Sonya, the prostitute with not so much a golden heart as a sort of pearl heart. Elif shavak has a rather more positive view of sonya than i do. So an erstwhile archbishop and a best selling turkish novelist, utterly disagree with me about sonyas very young age. I think i'm more on your side this one. On the subject of sonia, we also received this from the former archbishop of canterbury, rome williams,. who was unable to be here in person, but he sent this. He read sonya is not, despite some readings of the book, just a passive, self sacrificing
