The Battle to Shrink Things Down

Every mobile phone has between 10 to 20 billion transistors within it, which makes one's phone seem like the work of some incomprenible black magician. There was an interesting comment in the article about chips are quite good to transport illegally because they're so small. So you don't need to deal drugs, you can just deal with these little chips and maybe there's this sort of dystopian future in this who has access to chips. But yeah, I suppose it's this kind of shrinking and making small of everything that is incredibly complex is maybe this kind of shift in how we conceive of our world.
