The scrolls give a sense of a multi-faceted Judaism, not a monolithic Judaism. Essenism was destroyed in the year 70 and did not continue. The only group that survived the destruction of Jews were the Pharisees. And so their tradition developed into what we call modern or rabbinic Judaism.
