I was thinking about this. Why is it so good? And obviously it's the lines and the acting and everything. But he has actually, I listened to a coughed and a Mando Ayanucci doing their commentary over series one. And at some point they said that Alan has got talent. You know, he can go in front of a radio mic and talk. Even if it's total bollocks. So when someone tries to stitch your mouth or ridicule him, occasionally you can turn the tables. If he wasn't talented a little bit, then it wouldn't work as well. It's the same with if you think of the office. David Brent's an idiot
