The Influence of United Front Work on Vancouver Local Elections
People tend to ascribe these supernatural powers to the Chinese police and United Front Work groups. The idea that there could be a police station set up or you know, it's the same thing you see with people who are paranoid about US government saying about the CIA. It is a very othering kind of thing to start us ascribing this not quite human, almost mystical, magical power to these agencies. I should say also that while the safeguard defenders does now list over 100 of these stations, the 110 is the police emergency number they're referencing.
