Introduction
As a physicist, you are standing in the existing knowledge that is physics as we understand it. It is far easier for you to spot an error in some new invention. Physicists can spot a lot of errors because everything must obey the laws of physics. So if a geologist is claiming some phenomenon violates a known physical law, a physicist can spot that. But so too can those versed in mathematics and epistemology and reason or particular areas of philosophy.
