In 19 33, a peasant protest was suppressed by republican police who shot 19 of them dead. This provoked outrage from the spant like they weren't in control or anything but they had power for the first time. The government redistribute about ten % of spain's uncultivated land to the peasants. And that really pisses off the anarchists, so they launch a bunch.
