How to Reduce Dependencies and Increase Alignment
John Doar: I think a lot of times what happens with dependencies is that we're waiting for some team to complete some giant chunk of work. And so by kind of remodeling this relationship from a dependency like I'm waiting for you to a sort of a customer service model, you can kind of string outcomes down the value chain. He says there's an opportunity to increase alignment and reduce conflicts between teams in their projects. So how would you help someone get to the point of being able to write good outcomes? We have our kind of our definition of an outcome, which is incredibly helpful but I can still imagine myself staring blankly at screen.
