The Importance of Decision Making in an Organization
This week, we are going to be talking about decision making. I don't believe that there is any such thing as a decision maker in an organization because decisions are almost always collective activities. People have to be able to be accountable to others and solicit the views of others. They have to win people over. It's very, very rare that you will find in an organization of any sort of size and individual you make decisions. And because it's a collective activity, it therefore almost always takes an awful lot longer than you expect - especially if you're waiting for a purchase order.
