i was at salfors, and one of the product lines i was running was an observability. We were collect a lot of metrics, a lot of logs coming into our systems,. like impetabites per day. And we figured out that maybe ten percent of the data was being used. The rest was never even queried so, and the storage was expensive. Our queries were timing out because our indexes were running across all of this data. So we just took the analytic information data, cut off the data which we were not using,We threw it out on w s s three; then we've just looking at the most portinent data. Everything just improved.
