The Importance of Tourism in Chile

I tried to integrate at the beginning when I was involved in a lot of volunteer projects. When I started teaching online and living on the beach, people spoke English very well. Tourism is a big factor in that town. But when you actually sit down and have a conversation with someone, I think I would still sometimes struggle,. And it's a lesson that I've learned. The country abolished the army in 1949. Oh, so they've got no army. No army, which is really bizarre, especially like that happened soon after World War II. So I guess everyone was on high alert.
