The Effects of Hydrochlorothides on Urinary Calcium Excretion
There was a lower urinary calcium excretion rate compared to placebo. We also observed that the urinary citrate excretion decreased and the urinary oxalate excretion increased. The reason for this citrate reduction is because when you become hypokalemic, you become hypocetritaryx. But then, so it's exactly what I would expect in terms of the higher dose of hydrochlorothides that have caused a greater reduction in the urine citrate. And we also saw that with the hypokalemia.
