The Long Game of the Conquest of Erylon

The conquest of erylon was almost complete. Nosother telre had received hrathan's message and had not acted against the wedding. So i guess he's banking on her being destroyed somehow in a lantress. I just don't see the long game. If you actually get telry on the throne, then at that point it's probably much harder to get him off f it than just, like, intercepting him.
